How do I restart my timer?

The Timer in Minute7 helps you track work in real time. Instead of manually entering start and end times, you can start the timer when you begin a job and stop it when you’re done.


Starting the Timer

  • Log in to your Minute7 account.
  • Navigate to the Timesheet section.
  • Click the Timer icon (play ▶️ button).
  • Select the appropriate Customer, Service Item, and Class for the work you’re performing.
  • Press Start. The timer will begin running in the background.

Stopping the Timer

  • When you finish your work, return to the Timesheet.
  • Click the Stop ⏹ button on the timer.
  • Your tracked time will automatically populate into your timesheet entry.
  • Review the entry to ensure the correct Customer, Service Item, and Class are selected.

Pausing the Timer

  • If you need to take a break, click Pause ⏸.
  • Resume by pressing Start ▶️ again.
  • The timer will continue from where you left off.

Editing Timer Entries

  • Go to your Timesheet view.
  • Locate the entry created by the timer.
  • Adjust the start/end times or duration if needed.
  • Update the Customer, Service Item, or Class if corrections are required.
  • Save changes to ensure accurate reporting.

Tips & Best Practices

  • Always select the correct Customer, Service Item, and Class before starting the timer to avoid confusion.
  • Use Pause instead of Stop if you plan to return to the same job.
  • Double-check entries at the end of the day to confirm accuracy.
